This presentation will review the fundamentals of AM, combustible dust hazards, and protection methods for 3D printers in an effort to help determine the most effective way to protect users from the hazards inherent in this novel equipment.

The presentation will address:

- An overview of additive manufacturing fundamentals

- Combustible dust hazard overview

- Protection methods for 3D printers and other sources of combustible dust.
