The Fire Sprinkler Industry Joint Meeting will be a panel discussion regarding the responsibilities of the roles involved in fire protection systems design. The panel will consist of one representative from each role, including fire protection engineer, fire protection contractor, and authority having jurisdiction. There will be time allocated at the end of the discussion for questions and answers.
Bob Morgan, PE, CPCU – City of Fort Worth Fire Protection Engineer
Mr. Morgan is the Senior Fire Protection Engineer for the Fort Worth Fire Department since 2004, and prior to that, held positions with a Fire Protection consulting firm, Architectural/Engineering firm, and a Highly Protected Risk Insurance carrier. He currently serves as Chair to the Fire Advisory Board for the Regional Codes Coordinating Committee of the North Central Texas Council of Governments and is an appointed Commissioner on the Texas Commission on Fire Protection.
Rob Hicks, PE – WSP, Vice President, Fire Protection and Life Safety
Mr. Hicks is Vice President and National Director of the Fire Protection & Life Safety Engineering team at WSP USA. He has over 25 years of professional experience which covers a broad range of healthcare, commercial and industrial facilities with inspection of numerous manufacturing facilities including garment and textile, electronics, automotive and other light manufacturing.
Kevin Hall, PE – NFSA, Manager of Engineering Research
Mr. Hall is the Manager of Engineering Research for the National Fire Sprinkler Association. Kevin has both a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Engineering in Fire Protection Engineering from the University of Maryland, College Park and is a registered professional engineer in the states of Maryland and Delaware.
